Sidewiki is Google's attempt at a wiki Web annotation tool. Users who install the Google browser toolbar and enable Sidewiki can view comments on the page sorted by relevance, as determined by Google's own algorithm. However, the new tool may have the effect of taking Web page commentary out of the control of the page's publisher.
